I was born and raised in New Orleans, La. & have a Bachelor of Science degree from ULL. I've been married since 2006 and have 3 almost grown children; two daughters in high school and one very charismatic 6th grade son.

In addition to being a super dope photographer, I'm also a high school & club volleyball coach for girls ages 14-18 years old. Who doesn’t love a challenge, right?

When you think you bout to E.A.T. but you get A.T.E. Instead. At least I had a good attitude about it. For those who wonder how I feel so slowly, I had to learn to fall in order to feel confident skating. This means that once l over correct or move my ankle out of position, the fall is inevitable so it’s smarter to surrender. The exact way to BUST YOUR A$$ is to fight it and try to gain balance on 8 wheels by flailing your arms and delaying the most awful fall of your adult life. It’s still not pleasant either way, but one is a lot better than the other.

Hello December!!! This last chapter seals the deal on a season of wandering in the wilderness for 40 years! I’m super excited and so ready for this new chapter & to see how God is gonna use me to set so many like me, free😅!!!

So as life would have it, or at least as my life would have it, my Audi was totaled out after I was side swiped last month while headed to a job. It still bothers me that they would total out a car for body work. The car is 100% drivable and the doors still open. Nevertheless, I had to get a car pretty much without notice and since I wasn’t emotionally prepared enough to go car shopping and also had very little time to do so, I decided to try Carvana. My delivery was today and so far so good! They offer a 7 day guarantee and 100 day warranty which is much better than any local car dealership. Plus the white glove service is top tier! The paperwork took less than 5 minutes and I saved hours of time.

I’m so super thankful this season because of all that I’ve survived up until this very day. Things look super different for holidays these days. Less family and friends, but somehow more peaceful & loving. Plus we still eating good! Turkey necks, rice & gravy, with crabmeat Mac and cheese, candied carrots and green bean casserole because I’m literally an anomaly and my version is delicious! Topped our meal off with some jalepeno cheddar cornbread and ending the meal with 3 sweet potato pies! It’s Friendsgiving over here so if you didn’t get a plate today, please HMU! I’m bout my business today so I cooked and now headed to photograph an event in Kentucky then back to this grub to end the night properly, which is in a food coma. Yall be blessed today!

RIP my favorite season of the year in the Midwest…Autumn. When I get to heaven one of the first things I wanna know is if God set me up by using all@These glorious colors just to lure me to the Midwest. That year was the best I’ve ever seen too! It’s never been as gorgeous since that time but this year was a nice second place so I took the time to honor this season with a self portrait session cause baby you’re worth it!!!!

First holiday session of the year and I get to photograph these 2 adorable little cuties. So fun!

It’s Fri-Yay! And what an amazing week this has been. November has treated me with such decency and grace so far and praise God for it cause I been in the trenches and most of yall already know this. But as the tides change, so does the seasons and I am so relieved that misery is coming to an end.

I for real for real appreciate my clients y’all! I don’t just photograph sessions by appointment. My clients and I work together before, during and after the session to ensure the perfect experience! By the end of the process we are close to being the best of friends so I love showing my appreciation by writing out my thank you cards instead of buying generic ones. A personalized experience deserves a personalized token of gratitude😍

November isn’t playing with nobody, that girl almost gone already. It’s almost halftime, have you mapped out your goals this month? Because I’m starting today apparently. Time really needs to chill out

We all consider AI such an amazing resource & that may be true futuristically, but presently it’s garbage. However, I get asked on a more frequent basis as the years progress to “just use AI to do this, that and the third.” So I created a visual example of the garbage that we currently have to work with.

Me & my clients ran upon a fun coincidence during our session in Lebanon last weekend. The name on the train was “Nickel” and my clients last name is Nickell! How crazy is that? Crazy enough for me to get heavily involved, that’s how crazy 😂 I pulled the images up in my software and did a little photoshop magic by cloning the original font, then repositioning it, then adding the letter “L” at the end. Now it’s super personalized and not manipulated much, which I never really like doing anyways. I also changed the trees at the top because we might not be able to change mother nature, but we can use professional software to make it look even better! Such a fun edit!

This day is garbage outside so I’ll be staying inside. Since I had to leave the house to go to church, I figured it would be a great time to bring a little sunshine. Otherwise I’m forcing it with this much yellow. I love this coat though and it’s so freaking warm. It also still vibes well with the remaining colors on the trees that are standing on business this fall. Idk what else to say about these other trees other than to curse them like Jesus did the fig tree that wasn’t producing because do your job!

Skating has been the best emotional support tool that I never knew I needed. On this night I didn’t feel like doing it and just wanted to go to bed. 5 min later, this video was made. 2.5 hours later, I was done skating and slept so well after. I’m so proud of how far I’ve come since buying my first pair of skates in April and falling SO MANY TIMES!!! Skating is life and that’s for real for real so turn up with me!!!!

Ain’t no stopping us now this fall except for these damn allergies 😭 Ohio is showing out this season. These colors are popping and I’m eating the yellows up entirely! Book your session before all the leaves…fall.

I know yall like it but I gotta LOVE it! And that’s how I’ve been since been! A good picture that could be made great, should be made great. I stand ten toes down on this & said what I said. Aren’t these pics of Gabby so professional? She looks so mature already and it’s only the first semester of her freshman year 🤩 She is apart of NSBE, National Society of Black Engineers, & just came back from their annual convention in North Carolina. Gabby is in Pittsburg living her best life and I ain’t mad at all!

It’s fall y’all! And these colors are popping and far from disappointing this season! I LOVE all the colors but this year it’s the yellows for me! They are so vibrant and matching all the vibes.

When you haven’t skipped leg day so you in here doing deep squats, albeit assisted. However still, it’s time for a #SexyDexy break. This song been living rent free in my brain for the past 5 days. Just get it out cha system already. #GoGiants

I had the best day today celebrating the 15th birthday of my last born, only begotten, baby boy, Noah Christopher Ferrari! The son I dreamt about, then prayed about, has grown up to be an amazing young man who I am proud to be blessed as his mother. Forgive me in advance for flooding your feeds! Help me wish Noah a happy birthday! Stay tuned for posts about our Monday birthday. It’s was actually pretty lit for a weekday. But when dealing with me, things are often lit, as such. Happy Birthday Bubb!!!! We love you so much❣️

Because today was a great day. Sometimes you only miss simple, good days like these when you’ve experienced a series of the opposite. Just like you only know you love her when you let her go. We never know what we have until it’s gone and the grass is never greener. We have curly hair but want straight hair. Little butts want BBL’s.

She’s more than a lighthouse. She’s a healing alchemist of restoration. Good posture goes a long way for physical healing & pain reduction. The world is literally causing us biological & anatomical harm by making us shrink to fit into a standard that doesn’t belong to us. I’ve been in the fetal position for too long and healing starts with unraveling my vertebra one at a time.

I was so excited to be selected as one of the photographers for the Infamous 2025 Cincinnati Queen Bee Marathon! It was such an inspiration to watch so many women of different ages, races, & ethnicities all united in one place and serving up the most amazing energy. These are definitely goals for me! One day I will be on the other end of the lens getting my picture taken. But for now, I made sure that these runners looked amazing after the race 💅🏽

They think I’m stunting but I have fallen an exact number of times to be able to flex in this season. I can’t believe I just started learning rollerskating skills and tricks in April! I thought it would take at least a year to get here. But…LOOK AT YA, LOOK AT YA!

If you tryna be a photographer, the first thing you need to learn is how to refold these collapsible backdrops. They will make you wanna fight and make you look ridiculous if you’re not careful. Super embarrassing

Um yesterday was a disaster but this session ate the rest of the night so we call it even. My client yesterday wanted his portrait session to be captured at the Lost Lands Festival at Legend Valley located in Thornville, OH BKA too far from my house, frfr, but look at this. MORE FIRE! This is the second coolest session since I started shooting in 2011. The other was a laser tag session. Like shooting shooters in the dark just gave me all the chills and feels! But this here festival shoot was something else. Parking and walking 1 mile up hill through rocks and dirt just to get to the festival was the only worst part, but oh I’m bringing this here light because I knew it would be fire. A dinosaur themed techno mashup? Yeah, count me in. Where the Nati Lites at? 😂 just kidding! I don’t drink anymore since leaving my toxic husband. It’s Sunny outside today so I figure we could all use a little shade.

Train up a child in the way that they shall go. And if that just so happens to be down the path of photography, then please let the mini creatives cook parents 📸
