I was so excited to be selected as one of the photographers for the Infamous 2025 Cincinnati Queen Bee Marathon! It was such an inspiration to watch so many women of different ages, races, & ethnicities all united in one place and serving up the most amazing energy. These are definitely goals for me! One day I will be on the other end of the lens getting my picture taken. But for now, I made sure that these runners looked amazing after the race 💅🏽

Um yesterday was a disaster but this session ate the rest of the night so we call it even. My client yesterday wanted his portrait session to be captured at the Lost Lands Festival at Legend Valley located in Thornville, OH BKA too far from my house, frfr, but look at this. MORE FIRE! This is the second coolest session since I started shooting in 2011. The other was a laser tag session. Like shooting shooters in the dark just gave me all the chills and feels! But this here festival shoot was something else. Parking and walking 1 mile up hill through rocks and dirt just to get to the festival was the only worst part, but oh I’m bringing this here light because I knew it would be fire. A dinosaur themed techno mashup? Yeah, count me in. Where the Nati Lites at? 😂 just kidding! I don’t drink anymore since leaving my toxic husband. It’s Sunny outside today so I figure we could all use a little shade.

Peace is found within yourself and within nature so why not retreat to a backyard immersion. Birds chirping, the sound of the trains rolling by, the rustling sounds of squirrels scrapping in the background. In Glendale we have a brown vs black squirrel rival that keeps us entertained, and most importantly, no grown man asking me to help him not be sleepy, hungry, bored or unhappy. Sound like a baby? That’s because men like this ARE babies! Just not your baby, so send them back to they momma 🐣 On a less savage note, I got this tent from Goodwill last year so that I can practice glamping close to home in hopes of one day braving the actual elements 😬 Especially since my husband of 20 years is legit trying to make me homeless. But it’s a God thing so…we camping.

Because I come to sound the alarm for those who have ears to hear because I sure wish someone would’ve schooled me and saved me 2 decades of my life and almost my mind forever. As believers we are supposed to EXPOSE THESE PEOPLE, NOT PROTECT THEM. Protection and covering is for those who are under the blood. But God turns unrepentant believers over to the devour, forfeiting their right in the kingdom which gives them no access to kingdom privileges such as being covered and hidden while you work on repentance with God and make amends with your brother or sister. But if there is a wolf amongst the sheep and I see it, I’m supposed to sound the alarm. Sorry if I woke yall up!

When you keep a rotation of prayer, podcasts, and anointing the house, people, & pets, the whole house gotta be standing in agreement or they gotta get out ✌🏽 She stay on notice too, with her bad self! She heavily relies on the gift of grace on the daily!

Treating someone treacherously then responded with silence for months at a time only to show up months later like time heals all wounds is diabolical. Meanwhile, they aren’t a wound but a liability. Keep your little toxic self over there!!! This applies to my family and my soon to be ex-husband. It really do be your own people and it stay being my own momma. I hate to expose people but that’s what you end up having to do. Because once toxic people have done you wrong, your forgiveness is demanded but they use it against you because you are a threat to them since you know a part of them that no one else does. You saw the mask slip so you are public enemy #1, so they devalue you, minimize you, & manipulate you so that you’re too confused to know what happened, when it happened and more importantly how it happened. But being strongly grounded in truth makes this difficult for these people so they start a smear campaign, gossiping about you and slowly doing things to discredit you to other people who aren’t aware it’s even happening. Whole time you’re just trying to live your life, thrive & find peace, that they will never allow you to access, so you go “no contact” so that they can no longer affect your mental health and quality of life. But that’s still not enough because they just go through more extremes to reach you by getting others involved by using manipulation to get them to buy in and pick a side before they even know there’s a side to take. So, if they won’t stop due to fear of exposure, then here ya go! The game has been repeated my whole life by my mother and my husband schooled me the rest of the way. Now nobody’s safe! I’m a walking flashlight and yall better act like roaches around me. Happy September 1st! She is not the same anymore, that’s for sure! God is doing a new thing!

Today I finally can say I have learned to skate!!! There are still tons of skills that I don’t know, but the hardest part of shifting weight, toe and heel manuals and push pull action needed to perform those skills has finally clicked and made sense to my body. I literally did 3 full turns one time which was insane to even think of just last week! I’m so proud of myself! I started in April and made much progress since! I gotta find a few videos to compare, but it’s a huge difference. Skating has been my mental health miracle and low key physical healer because I’ve gained so much more strength and mobility just learning balance and shifting weight, using different muscles that I don’t use anymore. If I had to explain it I’d say that I officially learned to skate today which means I understand where my weight is at all times, have learned how to fall safely, and don’t fear falling! No one should learn tricks and skills until the fundamentals are learned. Skating is SO MUCH MORE FUN being able to twirl around instead of just going forward or backwards.

One flew the cookoo’s nest! Gabby Girl is checked in and ready to represent the Carnegie Mellon Class of 2029! We had a great weekend moving her into her dorm & attending all the family tours, orientations and events. God is beyond good & so faithful, above all! Despite so many twists and turns and moments of instability, I’m so blessed to have 2 college daughters who are both at 2 well known, renowned, & prestigious universities. Carnegie Mellon has an 8% acceptance rate and Gabby was accepted during early admission. She is majoring in Chemical Engineering which is a challenging program but she is super excited and ready for anything! The campus is so gorgeous that it’s insane!

End of summer vacation had all the plot twists and turns but we had ourselves a time, yet AND still! I swear, the enemy follow me wherever I go, but God be right there, making us great out here. Our camping trip was extremely eventful but we made the best memories in spite of all the craziness. We went #Glamping at Jellystone at Clay’s Park, near Akron & Amishville! We were super excited because of all the water activities but when we arrived on Sunday, they said that they were closing in 1 hour and that the pool would be closed the rest of the week due to Off Season…BRUH, I almost lost everything including my religion in that very moment!!! Like What are you saying? The hell we gonna do for 3 whole days without any water activities including kayaking, which doesn’t need a lifeguard. As annoyed as I was, my only option was to take advantage of the last hour and complain the next day. That went as usual with management blaming guests for not looking on their hours of operation page, which isn’t even on the first page or booking page. I was heated but I wasn’t gonna waste my time or money so we made the best of it. We found a campground nearby that was open and spent time there, then we went to The Amish Door which has a restaurant, bakery, and Inn all in one. We stopped to try the Amish buffet and let me tell you!!!! We ate so good! They know how to fry some chicken, make some bread and baked goods. Guhd Lawd. We was elbows deep in that food. Other than these issues, we had the best time. The campground is amazing and we were refunded a full night stay so I’m happy with the outcome. We rented a golf cart to get around which was absolutely necessary because the campground is huge!!!! You can rent a camp sight for just a tent setup, or RV/camper, or rent their cabins which range from bunk beds and community showers all the way to glamping in cottages. Super fun for the family and I highly recommend. Just don’t go after August 10th apparently. Such a great way to end the summer!

First day of school for my last high school freshman! Wishing my last of 3 a successful first of the next 4 years. I’m Looking forward to seeing his first day of senior year pic to compare to this one. My favorite glow ups are from 9th-12th grade❣️

Just because I went camping this weekend, doesn’t mean I didn’t have a skate session! And skating on these pickleball court was next level fabulous! Such a great surface. As you can see my wheels were super happy too. Anyways…my new obsession has been freestyle skating to music and I think I’m getting pretty good at it. It’s so liberating and such a great stress reliever, even if I bust my tuckers every now and again. Skating in a swimsuit after swimming was a huge risk but no falls and no skinned knees 🙌🏽 I did 3 routines and this was a favorite! I’m from Kenner, La (where the NOLA airport is) And the fabulous Jon Batiste is from Metairie, one city over. This is his jazz rendition called the Kenner Boogie! Anyways, I’ll get better but give me a 1-10 score so I have something to work with. Turns out that Skating to jazz is super fun!

Compartmentalizing is a huge part of my neurodivergent tendencies developed during childhood trauma followed by marital trauma. Like until my attorney calls, I can legit forget that I’m going through a divorce after almost 21 years of being married. It’s truly one trauma to the next. And now I pick up the pieces again, as I’ve done so many times in the past. But this time I’ve invested so much more, I trusted so much more, I everything’d way too much and it was all for the vain glory of a prideful, arrogant taker who fronts as a humble, benevolent giver. The saddest part is that people struggle to believe that he is who he is because of what it means for them. That they were tricked too. It’s easier to believe in plausibility. “I mean he would never do that. She must’ve done something to provoke him or push him away.” Which amazes me because how can anyone on this earth make anyone do anything outside of a court of law? The entire ideology reveals the lack of accountability of everyone with that stupid kindergarten mindset. The truth is that this is a terrible journey for me. But the silence is louder and more revealing of character than any other test in life. It’s funny because I’ve been thinking about the women who claim to have the same experience as me, but they are in a relationship either during their divorce or within the first 2 years of their divorce. And to that I say, I’m sorry for what you’ve been through but it wasn’t bad enough. And I’m not trying to downplay anyone’s experience. But, if you were fully persuaded that you were marrying one of God’s personal angels only to find out that he was really Lucifer’s only begotten son, you would be hell pressed to even consider a man smiling in your face without punching him in his front teeth. To have someone beg for you to marry them only to be love bombed & future faked into having 3 kids, and being a personal assistant with benefits to an entire person for 2 decades of your life, could cause a person to catch a case. 20 years is an entire generation. Someone stealing an entire generation from you is diabolical so NO! May love never find me again, other than the love of God himself through people.

Come behind the scenes with me for a taste of what an extended family session looks like! An extended family session is a group of subjects who are related but live in separate households, many times with spouses and kids. They are my favorite types of portrait sessions because the chaos is real & I was made for such a time as this! I typically only allow for 90 minutes or more but did this one in 60 min because it was only 3 families involved & each had 3 kids or less, ages 10 or older. My session pricing is dependent upon how many families, how many kids & how old the kids in the group are. This determines minimum session time. So the mom got a picture of her 2 sons, plus their wives and kids! The entire family group image is a must, so it’s my first pose, which I offer 2 versions for best selection. From There I offer sub group posing which includes grandparents with parents, grandparents with grandkids, & grandparent(s) alone. A lot of people don’t consider that grandparent portraits are necessary for the obvious reality of that time is fleeting & funeral planning requires foresight which includes the need for a professional portrait to use for obituaries & programming. Sadly so many people fail to do this or even consider this until it’s too late. Then I start getting calls with request to make a software miracle out of a poorly composed cell phone picture from the last Thanksgiving with empty plates of food on the table & irrelevant people & decor in the background. And it’s too depressing to even think about the poor lighting to even discuss it here 🤧 The point is that your parents deserve better! Meet me…I’m better! Anyways, after that I photograph the micro families which came from the sub families who were all beget by the original family…which is the grandparents, obviously. So, I pose the family, then parents, then kids. It’s a beautiful chaos that reveals my true purpose. Check it out & see how I did in this 30 min session! (My clients were 30 min late, but I still did the thing regardless)

Ending my daughters 20th Birthday Celebration Weekend with dinner at The Melting Pot! I can’t believe I’ve been a mom for 20 entire years! I still feel like I just graduated from college like 5 years ago. Motherhood is different for everyone, but for some it’s much harder than for others. I’m the 2nd oldest of 6 kids & my mother & I have never had a close relationship. Instead it was volatile, But I’ve been super intentional about changing the narrative for my children! Growing up, We believed in God but didn’t attend church. So our home life was duplicitous. You behave inside one way & outside another, which I’ve always despised which is why I vowed to God at such an early age, in my own way, that I wouldn’t treat my daughters this way & that I would raise up a son who not only does the right thing in public, but also mirrors that same integrity at home, growing as a man of God instead of only being accountable to himself. Long story short, My journey was very lonely with little to no support. My mom would make every request to help seem so inconvenient that I just trained myself to stop asking. So once per year, I would have to plan a 3 day vacation & beg her to watch them for which she would do, but not before telling me about all the things that she has to sacrifice to do it. But I kept my head down & prayed to God for guidance navigating through motherhood because it was not modeled to me in a healthy way. All that being said, & looking back over the span of 2 decades, I can honestly see how God sustained me even in my ignorance, in my poor decisions, or just willful frustration. Getting the small things right day by day added up alongside the things the I got wrong, & in the end, I know that I got more right, then I got wrong. They may or may not end up on a therapist couch one day, but it will still be to the glory of God. Because the life I’ve provided for them, FAR exceeds the life I was given. And who they are as people is a testament to this because God doesn’t miss!!!! I’m beyond grateful & forever indebted to God for blessing me & keeping me, so that I can see the fruits of my labor on this very day❣️ I’m so proud of me & my 3!!!!

For the best experience, just book the 90 minute session. This way you don’t have to rush to or through your session. This also allows more time to relax and get comfortable with the process resulting in relaxed posing and more authentic smiles! I mean, at least let my playlist warm up 😫
