My intention for creating this blog is to utilize it as a resource for both my existing clients, as well as my potential clients, to help gain a greater insight on the industry in order to make the best decisions when it comes to your professional portraiture needs.

And so now I’m just taking a shower & getting myself ready for bed so we can do it all over again, in some mysterious way which will only reveal itself once upon a time 🤷🏽‍♀️

Recently, I had the pleasure of working with a client who owns a boutique laundry service. She wanted images that showed off her unique style and the care she puts into her work. How I did Juneteenth this year…Skating Downtown Cincy! I’ve experienced so much improvement since getting back on these ☠️wheels. It’s been such a challenge but, here I am, trying to learn to freestyle. Because Can’t is for quitters and suckers to which I am neither so good day! And stay free out here!!!

I haven’t had good news in more than a while, but today’s the day! For the past 2 years I have been studying to earn my credential as a Certified Professional Photographer, CPP, through the Professional Photographers of America, which is the only recognized organization offering this certification. There is a written component to the test, complete with proctor, and a technical image submission portion. Today I opened my email to read the words I’ve been waiting to hear: CONGRATULATIONS! on meeting the requirements to become a Certified Professional Photographer (CPP)! It
requires dedication, deep knowledge, and a strong commitment to excellence. You’ve clearly demonstrated all of these qualities, and this
certification is a well-deserved recognition of your hard work. This is a significant step in your career, and we are honored to welcome you as a new CPP. This accomplishment
reflects your expertise and dedication to professional development.

I haven’t had good news in more than a while, but today’s the day! Update on my little 5 finger client, I went to file criminal complaint, which they took and called her in to make a statement. She lied about downloading them, saying she doesn’t have them. I don’t care what she did with them, it shows that she downloaded them. I guess it’s not a lie if you get rid of the downloaded images and say you don’t have them. That’s the strategy of liars. No matter what she can’t ever post them because everyone knows whose images they belong to now. In any event, they didn’t want to pursue criminal charges because they can’t prove that she transferred the files or have them currently, so they referred me to the civil route, to which I can also file an affidavit of criminal complaint which would still allow for potential criminal charges. In the meantime, I have consulted an attorney who advised me to take down my posts about the incident until it is resolved in the court system, afterwhich I will update you guys on the final outcome. In the meantime, I am waiting for the report from my software provider that will have the internal evidence of the gallery being downloaded BY her email address. She is saying the gallery didn’t get SENT TO her email address and even if it did, she didn’t get it. The software shows the gallery as being DOWNLOADED BY that email address. Which is something that I’ve been having a hard time articulating until now. But, thanks for y’all’s support! Being able to stand up for ourselves is a constitutional right that I will always exercise. As far as for me, imma keep on pressing on, showing up and operating in excellence for my clients who appreciate me professionally. Happy Monday Y’all!

This Friday Shoutout goes to all of my amazing clientele who value my work enough to pay the asking price. You are the reason I keep on going. Idk what it is about 2025, but it’s giving new levels of audacity, entitlement, and false expectations from people who want to look like they are a certain status in life, but not wanting to pay to play. Professional photography is and always has been a luxury expense. Nothing about this has changed except the perceived value assessed by people who are used to going to Sears, JC Penney, Olan Mills, etc. But if those cheap models worked, they would still be available, but they are not. They are out of business because they lowered their price to meet the demands of a lower class of clientele who decided it wasn’t that big of a deal to take their pictures for $25 & $50. So they became unprofitable, now they aren’t in business. So to ask present day professional photographers to meet the same price points is insane. The advancement in technology has allowed for more images and ease of printing and developing proofs but nothing else has changed except the expense of camera gear and lighting. Since most photographers are entrepreneurs they take care of their own marketing and client/lead management systems and compete with a heavily saturated market that never existed before. If the price is too much, then this isn’t a purchase to make because it is above your lifestyle at that point, which is totally fine. What’s not fine is asking for lower prices than what’s presented, calling to say what other photographers are charging or stealing them like my last client. Pictures are more accessible today than ever before. Everyone has a phone with a camera and can take pics of anyone at anytime. But if you want professional portraits, it is a luxury expense and not a need. Therefore, it is insulting to name your price for someone else’s time and expertise. But to all the other clients, good morning, afternoon and evening to you.

To say we LOVE our church would be an understatement. Life Changers Church is truly life changing. It was full circle seeing these kids I met in elementary school reach next levels! From Kingdom kids, to remnant, and now adult ministries, they have been trained up in the best way and ready to make a kingdom impact with boots on the ground starting now! The testimony of this season is sealed until the day of revelation but one thing is for sure…God did it! Whoop whoop! And won’t He? Again, and again, and again and again if you stay connected to the vine. ❤️💪🏽❣️💫🥰🥳

Les Goooo! My business has been in an unwanted entanglement with my husbands business since the start of our divorce in October 2024. But today, the chains have been broken and my baby done been set free!!! Reclaiming her rightful crown as an LLC. Being married to someone who is controlling will cause you to give up as much of your space as needed to keep the peace. Part of my sacred space was my business which I started in 2011 with help from no one but the Holy Spirit and the gifts that God created within me. George convinced me that it was better for us to add my business as a DBA to his LLC which was already established and would mean that we operate under one EIN, with him being the owner of both businesses and his business being the principle and mine being under his umbrella. This has been an exhausting effort, but today I break chains. We back, we unattached, and ready for God to open the windows of Heaven over my business. Doors open that no man can shut, overflow of clients and leads, innovative digital media creation & supernatural promotion to places with people of influence and big ideas!!! Been going through the dumps but today I’m walking on sunshine, so just…Let her cook, please 🥳

Happy Mother’s Day to all the remarkable women who nurture, protect, & provide for the widows, orphans, and the least of these. I’m grateful for the 3 blessings that God gave me who call me Mom! I don’t take my role lightly and will politely devour anyone who tries to touch me or the anointing on my 3. Motherhood is divine purpose and the most important job of all humanity. This is true for all mammals. The condition of the hearts of this world is the direct result of mother wounds from women who chose themselves in glory or in vain, easily submitting to the truth that “I did the best I could.” To them and all who are like them I would like to say, “Your best wasn’t good enough.” If I try my best on a test that I didn’t do anything to prepare for, I should expect the failing grade, or I guess I could selfishly hope I chose all the right answers…ON Accident! The mothers who fumbled their daughters, didn’t study for the test, not before, and not during. Your best isn’t good enough. The world mourns the gifts that could have been made of the children you brought into the earth, who could have been contributors. Instead they were hated, used and abused when they were supposed to be loved & made to feel secure. So then hurt people, hurt people…and it ALL starts with a mothers rejection. But God is good in all His ways! He will surely raise up another mother to mother the orphans! So happy Morher’s Day to the real mothers!!! Who sacrifice, uplift, pray, declare and decree words of life over their children so that the curse is broken with you! The ones who didn’t learn how to mother by example, but prayed for God to guide you through the wilderness of parenting in a way that wasn’t established for yourself as a child. God sees you, He honors you, and He encourages you to press on towards the mark and your children and their children and their children’s children will be blessed because of YOUR sacrifice! And let the coals burn on the heads of the mothers who abandoned their role and created orphans who took back their own destiny despite the rejection. You Go Girl❣️
